9600 Class Pipe Gons Traded from C&TS to D&SNG

I know this is an obscure question, but here goes...
I'm still doing work on the C&TS roster, and two pipe gons, 9604 and 9619, appear on early rosters but not on later ones. Apparently two pipe gons--presumably these two--were traded to the D&SNG in 1982 in exchange for a ballast tamper.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm this trade, and that these were the two pipe gons that were traded.
