When were MCB type C coupler used? And type Q?

Over the years, the MCB design coupler has had revision of part designs and those various types have been given letter designations. Presently, most standard gauge cars have a Type E or a Type F coupler. All full size MCB will coupler with each other but parts may not be interchangeable between types.
My question is what was the time period that a Type “C” coupler was used? And has anyone heard of the Type Q coupler? I just bought a knuckle, case Q to C, which is to be put into the full size coupler which will then permit the ¾ size coupler car to connect to its hand. I believe the ¾ size is the Type Q used on most narrow gauge lines in the east, including all the 2’ gauge lines in Maine.
This was a real surprise and welcome purchase, as we need to couple a Tionesta Valley caboose (3/4 size) to a D&RGW gondola (full size E). My guess is that this question will stretch the limit of the knowledge base here, but that is the fun of this discussion group.
