Oh no.. Thank you for letting us know Mike,

Dirk and I go way back to the late 1960's. He went to work for the Grande and me for UP. We kept in touch for all of those years and retired for basically the same reasons, only he had a couple of years of head start on me.

When he moved to Ufa, we used to correspond with stories about Russian Wives. The good thing about him moving to Russia is that he finally seemed to be happy with his life. I looked forward to his Dacha updates on YouTube. I will have to go back and listen to his voice one last time.

He was a lot of fun to be around and he was a good friend. He thought very highly of Bob Richardson, calling him his surrogate Dad.

I will miss him.
