When Doug saw this photo of me with my Home Depot yellow hard hat at the first run of 493, he said I needed a new hat.
He had a new white one (manager color) made for me and sent it with the following note. Due to the virus restrictions I never had the chance to thank him in person. Top notch guy and sorry I did not get to know him better. Wore the hat in the D&S roundhouse and car shop last week and at Rockwood Saturday. Thanks Doug.

It was an honest thank you for all the knowledge you’ve imparted on me and the others.
I’ve used MSA hardhats for 30 years, and, that one is top vented- noticeably cooler in the summer.
I took a chance on the D&S emblem, I figured no one would give -you- a hard time about it.
The two patches in the box have iron-on stick ‘em on the back. I hand those out to Friends members at work sessions. They can go on a duffle, or jacket, or where ever.
