Yep......In 1975, I believe trains ran on weekends only. In 1976, that is when I went to work for them and trains ran daily.
Rick Steele, Jerry Albers and I would take turns being conductor/ticket agent. Rick was the regular fireman and I was learning the job that year.
The conductor/ticket agent would sell the tickets from a card table and cash box in the freight room. Once it was train time and everyone was on board, we would stow the cash box in the depot stove for safe keeping, then close and lock the freight room door. Once the train came back, we would unlock the door, retrieve the cash box and start all over again.
Great memories with Rick, Roy, Jerry, JP, Floyd and many others at that time.
