Or if they find a suitable treatment that reduces the mortality rate / severity of the virus, similar to how tamiflu reduces the flu's ill effects. there have been a couple of promising leads, the malaria drug treatment or the antiviral drug remdesivir with azithromycin combo have both looked promising but require further testing & trials.
