A special paint job for a sponsored Passenger service from Auckland to the Skifields on Mt Ruapehu. The Kiwi Lager Ski Express venture was a weekend winter service from Auckland to Ohakune that ran for 2 seasons, in 1988 and '89. The DC didn't get repainted afterwards.
