Russ, looking back over my time I’m not sure now if I was more influenced by Charles Kuralt’s “on the Road” or Jack Kerouac’s. Maybe it was just Willie’s “On the Road Again” in my ears. Whichever, I managed route 66 west to Seligman, AZ. But I don’t wish to hi-jack this thread so will refrain from boring readers with my reminiscing (AKA “memory droppings”).
