I was brought home from the hospital as a newborn in a black beetle. Dad kept it for many years, to the point where I now realize it was almost rotted completely out. I'm sure it was long ago made into razor blades.
There are times when I think it'd be neat to get a VW, paint in black, just for the heck of it. But my 1944 Willys MB Jeep keeps that part of the garage occupied.
