The earlier years I'd have to look up info on. Early on it was a passenger & freight scheduled daily, IIRC. After the re-opening in '96 under both DL&G and C&S it was a daily mixed train schedule, except for a brief period around the time of the World's Fair in St Louis. (ca. Summer, 1903?)

Until they had a break and could bring the rotary down from Como without taking a chance on it being in Pitken when it was needed in Leadville. I'm just guessing there, but I've never heard that the line was closed for months under C&S the way it was under UP control back in the late 1880's.
