While we were in Illinois recently, we stopped at the Wabash Depot Antique Mall, in Decatur, IL. It is the old Wabash Passenger Depot and division headquarters building in Decatur, located at the crossing of the Wabash with the Charter Line of the Illinois Central and the Pennsylvania line to Peoria, IL.
Upstairs I ran into what was obviously a railfan's photo collection.
These are the ones that are dated from 1940 to 1942. The 1942 ones are obviously from some sort of excursion. There was no mention of the photographer, only dates and locations (not all of the locations were correct)
I personally have never seen these exact photos before, but I have seen some very similar ones. If someone out there either has, or can help me with the excursion or the photographer, it would be most welcome.
#1 and #2 are photos of #20 heading a short, Durango bound freight in Rico, dated May 12, 1942
#3 and #4 are of Ridgway, also dated May 12, 1942 #41 is obviously out of service at the time
