They never had a rail bus on the Taku Tram. When they discontinued passenger service over the tram in 1937, the steam locos were replaced by a gasoline mechanical car known as the Ford Tram. The Ford Tram cab was big enough for the operator, but not for any passengers. Public transportation in the form of air service to Atlin had been begun about that time. In addition, the White Pass closed its hotel at Atlin at that time. Thus White Pass had no more incentive to operate passenger service to Atlin.
