Re: Hall Tunnel, and a RUMOR . . .

IIRC, the Lebanon Mine is on the sunny (north) side of the valley, and the Hall Tunnel higher up (i.e. closer to Silver Plume) on the shady (south) side.

I also VAGUELY remember a RUMOR that the Hall Tunnel was going to be enlarged and lengthened to provide a direct RR line under the Continental Divide to Breckenridge, but the project fell through after money dried up in the Panic of '93.   1893, that is . . .
