In between switching moves I had to take my dog for a swim at Haviland Lake, this morning gradually turning into a very warm day, thereby missing the 476 meet (it had been 42 degrees at Red Mountain Pass at 7 am). Here are a couple of pictures with 18 turning the coach on the wye.
SP 18 is ready to pull on to the main with her 5 car train after the third Silverton train with engine 481 leaves Rockwood
Having Jack the dog along, riding the train was not a option, so were off to snow fields, flower meadows and small alpine lakes on the Crater Lake trail near Molas Divide after watching 18 heading into the canyon
