I recall that one used to be able to see many ties still in the roadbed, but very few today. Looking up the upper switchback toward Pavilion Point:

The reward, a view looking West toward the Continental Divide. If you look closely, you can see GLRR No. 111 sanding her flues as she struggles around the curve on the High Fill of the Georgetown Loop:
