As I recall the diner seated 11 and you could get a steak dinner! Riding the line between Nahuel Pan and El Maiten was as close to riding the San Juan as you could get, as long as you didn't mind seeing the occasional guanaco or rhea! I'd sit on an end platform with my feet on the steps, watching the scenery unroll for hours. I'm glad it's still there, even if it's only used from Esquel to Nahuel Pan on a regular basis and the rest of the line for the very occasional charter.
