Getting high on the narrow gauge...….
This is just for fun, and doesn't involve controlled substances or other illegal means. It doesn't even involve some kind of mechanical bumblebee, just wandering thru the woods and alpine meadows to high points overlooking the narrow gauge. Often this places the narrow gauge into it's vast Rocky Mountain setting....tiny trains in big country. One of many great high points is Neff Mountain just north of Cumbres, a windy but beautiful view point in all seasons.
Here are 315 and 463 powering the "Rendezvous" train around Tanglefoot Curve with two Galloping Geese in attendance
By late October the scene is very different. The green has been replaced by brown, as here on a Far rail photo freight with mid train helper
