Engine 315 operation on Opening Day

In response to questions about 315 plans for opening day, the current plan is for 315 to run Chama to Antonito, with a K36 working as road engine Chama to Cumbres, and 315 working as helper to Cumbres. This is however depending on ticket sales out of Chama. If the train is heavy enough to require two K36s rather than the 315-K36 combination, 315 will run to Antonito and run as helper to 463 Antonito to Cumbres. This is the latest word as relayed by Scott Gibbs from discussions with C&TS management last week. 315 is currently in Chama and the DRHS crew is planning to perform the Annual starting two weeks from today (April 29).
