Just received my copy of Stan Rhine's Rio Grande High Side Gondolas book Friday. Had to work my local train show swap meet Friday and Saturday so just now got look the book over. All I can is WOW. An amazing collection of detail about the subject. So far, am just getting into the first chapter. I liked Vic Stone'c comments regarding Stan's coverage of these apparently, not-so ubiquitous narrow gauge cars. As an owner of Vic's excellent and treasured DRGW/RGS stock car tome Taking Stock, his comments are spot on.

I highly recommend the book to all Rio Grande ng fans and to the narrow gauge community in general as there seems to be something of interest in here for everyone. Order it now and save a few bucks, eh? 30 bucks and includes shipping in the US if ordered before April 30th. From the folks at White River Publications.

By the way, thank you Chris Lane and WRP for getting this published.
