Last 2 Class 48 0-6-0T's, #'s 104 & 106, were retired 6/03. roster says retired, not scrapped, so they could have still been around in '05...
BTW last Class 42's (other than #100), #'s 94 & 96, also ret. 6/03.
Does anybody know how sharp the curves were on this rr? (I assume Earl is questioning a Class 56 making it around them.) The lines out of Silverton had several curves greater than 30 degrees, including at least some of 40 degrees, and the Class 56 & 60 engines did OK there.
