Hello John,
I don’t think there is any website dealing with the line - or at least I don’t know of one. I generally exchange emails with Shaun at Christmas and he brings me up to date then, not that there’s usually much news to be up to date with. In addition to the loco which was restored in Buenos Aires a few years ago there are also a few old wooden carriages which were restored at El Maiten. The restoration project was a pet one of the former President Kirchner and lost its funding when her successor arrived. There was also a prolonged strike on the railway at about the same time when the loco and train were stranded out in the open air for some months. Now that I know that the loco runs early in December I intend to ask him for another progress report in the autumn, mainly to ask if it will be running this coming December, and if it is I may well go there to see it.
Best wishes,
James
