I bought this photo account of 3 rail track and suspected it might be Profile & Franconia Notch but they never used a 2-6-0 locomotive. Suspect it might be a New England area but there is very little 3 rails line up there.
Looks like it had no air hose on pilot end and may be vacuum brakes account of tank under cab. Link and pin pilot bar indicates before 1903. The mid driver tire is a blind driver. The timber under the smoke box are the beginning of the method of jacking up the locomotive and getting it up right. Next they will completely fill all space under the wheel with timber and ties to make a complete timber platform before they try to rerail the engine. Any chance anyone can locate this NG #2 locomotive?
