The first Flanger Spreader train in 53 years

The first flanger spreader train in 53 years is scheduled for March 2 and 3 out of Antonito. That is if the Friends can sign up a few more participants. The last number I heard is 12 more are needed. With the good snow fall this year it should be a great time. Chasing the last Rio Grande flanger spreader outfit, getting beyond the bottom of the whiplash by car was simply not possible. This time, being on the train should enable getting into great snow country.





Climbing the middle level of the whiplash, the train was a few minutes from disappearing into unreachable snow country
