Interesting stuff once again. So you got to meet the infamous Jim Marcus. I met him a couple of times and heard some wild stories about his antics. He died some years ago, and a guy I know was supposed to deal with his slides and movies from his widow, but never heard any more about it. The fact he greased the rails doesn't surprise me. He may have been the one to delay Nickel Plate 759 on the Horseshoe curve in the late 60's sometime, but not sure about it. I did hear one story where he was showing his films to a railroad club in Northern Ohio(He lived up that way---I am in SW Ohio), and he shows the old passenger coach in the middle of some wooded area.
Its just sitting there then boom!!! Apparently he used dynamite and blew it up. Well the club was quite disturbed by his antics to say the least. He was definitely "Different".
