I have never seen any evidence that W. Parker Lyon ever had a loop of track and operated the train. All photos I've seen indicate a short stretch of track and no movement of the cars and engine -- just a static exhibit. Mr, Lyon (1865-1949) was an interesting man; one-time mayor of Fresno, organizer of Lyon Van & Storage, collector of California and western antiques. There is a write-up about his collection, then in Pasadena, in an 1928 issue of the
Los Angeles Times.
