Hi, David -
You can send one of them an NGDF private message to "Casey Akin" or "CodyAkin", but if you don't want to bother them and need good lettering then do as the C&TS does – or at least used to – and work with 'Design-A-Sign' in Pagosa Springs, 970/731-3327. Alan Loomis sent me to them in 2010 to get the press-on (NOT magnetic) numbers, lettering and logo needed to convert #487 into #483 (aka "The Scarlet Harlot") for the C&TS 40th B.D. Party. Ernie himself said we did a pretty good job of reproducing his 1970 lettering and logo when he posed for a Phraud-O-Graph of a well-known photo in August, 1970
:
IIRC, Design-A-Sign could handle lettering up to 24" tall by any length (or 24" wide by any height) back in 2010, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they have an even wider printer these days.
Here's another example of their work applied to Roger's camo-mobile
:
The above happens to be a magnet, but it could just as easily have been done using press-on vinyl like the #483 logo.

Stupid Roosso (I'll use the excuse that he was juggling several things that month) forgot to order a big "483" for the rear of the tender. Thankfully Rich Murray did a good job of painting that one by hand — in spite of some interruptions when there were chores to be done
:
. . . so you might want to contact Rich, c/o The Friends, if'n them thar' Akin Bros. ain't able to help.
