While not specifically "coal" related, given the interest in (other threads) in the stores at these very small towns, its worth noting that Monero
also had a store.

Also, here is a view of Monero showing the depot, a distant view of the locomotive coaling structure, and off to the right side of the photo (below the locomotive coaling structure) is the loading ramp with a truck that appears to have just dumped it's load of coal into a waiting gondola. This ramp was used to load coal into gondolas for transport to other locations.
