I'm struck by the funicular elevator system with multiple stops along the near side of the main building.

It's the only way to get crushers, ball mills and other heavy equipment to the various levels in the mill. It's a feature that hasn't been modeled because no one that I know about has ever done a model of such a massive mill. Even some smaller mills in the Silverton area had similar incline trams. Oh, and BTW, the rumors of a turntable in Eureka are true. There is one on one of the upper levels of the Sunnyside Mill. It's on the level where the ball mills were. 18" gauge IIRC.
