Information in the California State Railroad Museum Library R&LHS collection with those two images says they photos were made by Gerald Best on August 26, 1925 at Alamosa. Interesting that the painters were not finished yet in that the driver tire on the third axle engineers side of the engine is not painted. A pretty little engine in any case.
