The boiler jacket gets wiped down every Saturday morning before steam up.

The Hinkley Locomotive Works plans were bought by the Portland Company so the early Portland two foot gauge locomotive cabs resemble the Hinkley design. Here's ARIEL built by Hinkley:
Our Portland locomotive (c/n 622, 1891) is the engine that sat in a barn in CT for 60 years before being brought back to Maine for restoration. It's the only Portland Company two-foot gauge engine that survived.
