We seem to be stretching the concept of sunset, so i will submit these three. The first is more of a golden hour shot of a westbound just west of Rock Tunnel.
And when the train passed I got this sorta glint shot, more just backlit.
Both shots were taken from about MP 316.5 in September 1964. it was rapidly getting cold and dark and after the train passed Gordon and I stumbled back in the dark about two miles to get to our car at Osier. But we lived to tell the tale.
But perhaps this is my favorite, taken westbound at Oxford on December 19, 1961. Again more golden hour than sunset.
