Royal Hudson ran to Atlanta lettered Canadian Pacific (Chased it), then all SR trips it was lettered Southern and had a Southern name plate on the pilot....I liked that engine(2839).
SR leased several engines including the 2839, 610, and 2716. Since they merged to form Norfolk Southern in 1982, when 611 was ready it was the NS Steam Program. I just got a roll of
movie film back from a chase of 2716 which only ran one year. So I have a total of about 3 minutes of film on this engine, and although it was a sound roll, the audio did not work on those
early cameras sometimes! 765 also ran some in 1982 and 1984.
Anyway those are still not the engines I am thinking of.
