that company started out as a Foundry producing mining equipment in Central City and Blackhawk.

Well known Denver area Modeller and Restorer John Robinson, the owner of the Go-devil that ran at the High Country Railroad(shown in Jim Pallow's recent thread) and the Plymouth loco that sat inside the former Caboose Hobbies, now at the GTL Silver Plume aquired a Fordson to fit the McFarlane chassis he rescued from a quarry near Golden. One of these McFarlane-Eggers Fordson tractor conversions ran on the last of the Gilpin Tramway trackage servicing the Iron City Mill at the lower end of Blackhawk.
