I love that last picture Jerry! I've gotten to work on every car in that picture. Some fun times in Chama. Have built them al in HOn3 also.

The OB has two hammers, a small one and a big one. The D&RG "Details of Iron Work Narrow Gauge Pile Driver" shows the hammer as 2400 lbs. I don't know if this is the big or the small hammer.

I do know that OB was in the swamp on the spur tracks one spring ( found a picture and it was 1996) and one hammer was sitting on the idler car. It had bowed the side sill so severely that it was close to touching the rail. Roy Blizzard and I pulled it off with the front end loader and set it next to the car. The end of the next summer, we had to dig it out as it had sunk at least 2 feet. We got it out and set it on some ties. It is a heavy pig.
