I'm not among the official planners, Michael -
Just a gadfly contributing memories, a few photos, and nostalgic encouragement to the commemoration of an historic event. SFAIK it's going to be much more a commemoration than a re-enactment, although – as I've pointed out – re-enactment of the front half of the westbound train shouldn't be too difficult. Getting good Phraud-O-Graphs® of the train will be another challenge, though, as trees close to the r.o.w. have grown A LOT in the intervening 50 years (see [
ngdiscussion.net]), not to mention the much-improved but no longer histœrical well-ballasted roadbed
