To further expand a bit on Stewart's statement about the rail, the Kennebec Central rail was brought to the Ramsdell farm in order to lay a loop of track around the farm. With the war coming, the family hid the rail around the farm, but never unhid it after the war. After Alice Ramsdell died, we at the WW&F wondered if we'd ever find it, but a cousin knew where it all was, unburied it and dragged it all into a pile waiting for us to take away.
