486 in Silverton

All the talk about K-36's reminded me of these two photos, taken in Silverton in early October 2013. It was snowing when we arrived from Durango, then stopped, then resumed once we had finished lunch and were heading back south. A rock slide that afternoon caused quite a delay. My friends and I were riding in one of the open cars. Man, that was one long, cold trip. I've encountered other rock slides on the line, but luckily not during a snowstorm.
