D&RGW reefer No. 39 is back on wheels for the first time in 60 years. The Durango Railroad Historical Society following extensive work stablizating the body and rebuilding her chasis has put the car on her wheels and are now planning work for next year. This work will include: painting the new roof, installing roof ice hatch platforms and hatches, walking platform, painting and lettering the car, ice bunkers and an interpretative sign.
