It is my guess that if the money was available to reconsider the K28/K36 trade that fell through, the D&S would snap it up. They prefer the K36s. That is why the D&S went for the trade in the first place. It was the C&TS commisioners that nixed the trade.

The D&S does not like the K37s due to troubles with 497 (since fixed when it came over to the C&TS). It prefers the K36s. I suspect but do not know that if three K36s were offered to the D&SNG, they would be willing to trade the three K28s for them and maybe throw in the 493. I'd not support the idea but I think the D&SNG wants the K36s - they traded 499 for 486 at the Royal Gorge after all.
