I think the shot was taken in the fall of 1951. 455 was out of service since late May - early June. It was about 2/3 through its overhaul when the RGS decided to pack it in. RGS rented 452 in 455's place. 455 started using the 452's tender in the spring of 1951 after the rebuilt former standard gauge tender showed everyone its ability to derail. By the time 461 was lettered RGS, 455 was using 452's tender. So, it seems there never a time when there were two RGS-lettered K27's in service at the same time.
