Knowing absolutely nothing about the situation..... but like all the "armchair superintendents" out there, I'll chime in....... it would seem if land owners would cooperate, running track north across the gulch and over to the wye would be a nice little "demonstration railroad" without having to open the huge can of worms when you cross a public road. You could wye the engine out there, then turn it on the table when you got back. A nice little ride that actually went some somewhere.
