Where is It?

Where was this photo taken? I saw this photo on a facebook group I am in and the poster doesn't know where it was taken. It looks like an american narrowgauge railroad and possibly the D&RG at what I think Marshall Pass or Fremont Pass... the star throws me off. I would like to let the poster know what and where the photo was taken. Thank you for the help!
