On the C&TS the Durango Railroad Historical society's C-18 No. 315 is running a one day passenger special with photo runbys on August 28. This is designed as a low cost charter, with the price equal to just a premium fare on the regular passenger trains. Go to the DRHS website for details. Tickets can be purchased from the C&TS.
315 Photo charter information
The Friends of the C&TS are operating three days of photo charters on September 4, 5 & 6. This is a recreation of typical Rio Grande Southern trains, with K-27 #463 numbered and lettered for the Rio Grande Southern #455 plus an actual RGS caboose. The first day is aimed at a more general audience and is $269. The next two days are limited to 45 people and the two day cost is $899. The 315 will be joining the 455 on September 6 for double heading and mid train helper action.
Tickets are still available for all events.
