Sounds so true, so many old "heads" are passing , and especially the not so grumpy and " no it all ones" course the majority of the old heads loved what they did and
were not " know it alls" like today. Notice Tom how many today get the "High more out of what they have , possess materially and how great they are and how much better they
are than anyone else . I know that's what "Tommy Johnson " an old Santa Fe and SP head says and believe me I have seen it and have been in the " cross hairs of it"Even when
getting locomotives back in service. The "Jack Ass" type wants them for themselves and or wants to take all the credit. My favorite line on being
a humble worker is , "OK Lad your Promoted , Now Don't think you know everything! I too did not know Phil Kauke but I did know a hero of mine Lou Calhoon Apache Railway
" Engineer Extrordaniare". Very quiet ,shy and and a man of few words, but oh how much he could teach you , if only some would just shut up ! He was the greatest throttle
artist I have ever known. AND HE WAS A HUMBLE MAN!!
