Last Call for the HK Porter Shirts

The J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad in Youngstown, OH was running a booster fundraising campaign to raise money to help complete the restoration of J&L 58. That campaign ended last week and people are already receiving their shirts. We sold 97 shirts and raised over $2,000 and to those who contributed, a hearty THANK YOU is in order! What is even better is that a foundation will match that amount with a 100% match, so we end up with over $4,000 toward the project. Folks, that more than pays for the boiler tubes for 58! Another perk that we offered was that the wearer of a Porter shirt to one of our operating days entitles them to take the throttle and run it up and down our short mainline a few times.

However, I have been getting messages from people who saw the original fundraiser but either procrastinated or forgot to order before the campaign ended. So we have decided to reopen it for another week, this time with a concrete end date of Friday, January 20. If you still want a Porter shirt, this is your LAST CHANCE. Due to the offer to operate the 58 we just cannot offer these things open ended. We will come out with new designs as time goes on but this one is permanently retired next Friday.
