Britain's RAILWAY MAGAZINE reports that work is underway to restore a South African Railways class NG10 4-6-2. The 2-foot gauge Pacific was built in 1915 and is the last of her class - although there's a later (1930) former South African 2--foot gauge Baldwin 4-6-2 ironing on a South Wales tourist line. . The restoration is being done by the Sandston Heritage Trust which plans to operate the locomotive when restoration is complete.
