Just a few photos to tease everyone...
It has been a long 12 years since I have gotten to enjoy the sounds of a large 2-8-0 barking up the canyon between Devil's Gate and Silver Plume. It is wonderful to hear this once again.
This is an incredibly positive step forward for the Georgetown Loop Railroad! We will now have two large operational steam locomotives to pull our increasingly busy trains.
Please share your praise for the Silver Plume Shop Crew and Office Staff of the GLRR, as well as the staff of History Colorado. All of these people have helped tremendously in the return to service of this locomotive!
Always remember - people make the railroad!!!
