White Pass & Yukon Rotary Event photographs
Five years ago tomorrow was day #1 of the White Pass's Rotary Event. The absolute highlight of my train chasing tenure, doubt anything will ever top 'The Greatest Show on Rails' (well, maybe another WP&Y rotary event might).
Based out of Skagway Alaska, steam driven plow #1 was built in 1898 by the Cooke Locomotive and Machine Works; was pushed by Baldwin 2-8-2 #73 and 2-8-0 #69, with Sumpter Valley combine #211 trailing.
The link above is to my gallery of images from the five days.
Enjoy,
Matthew
