C&TS schedule

As Kevin indicated above, the C&TS is running daily except Monday and Wednesday until June 15, and then daily until October 15. This schedule was dictated by a desire to avoid daily service until the shop could get some more engines back in service, and the fact that tour groups were booked on most Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
This schedule seemed simple enough, but there was some confusion and by mistake no train ran last Friday. Folks at the Chama station are currently repeating to themselves "daily except Monday and Wednesday, daily except Monday and Wednesday...." Our dysfunctional computer reservation system didn't help, and a lot of management attention had been diverted to the fire prevention crisis.
The good news is Cumbres got a good rain Monday afternoon, which should mitigate the fire risk for a few days. And hopefully trains will be running regularly except on Monday and Wednesday for another week, and then daily.
