nng Climax parts in Cass

70 ton 3 truck Climax #9 is under long-term restoration by the Mountain State Logging & Railroad Historical Association in their own shop here at Cass. This group has been working on this engine for several years. The other day refurbished parts in the form of cab, coal bunker and tender water tank showed up for us to unload. As the tender tank was to be set on the chassis, we dug the chassis out of their shop and rolled it down to the depot. The other parts went on a flat car. Here Kermit #77 is rolling #9's running-gear-in-progress past the Cass Shop.


Here we are down past the depot awaiting the truck.
